The MOMs project was launched in Spring 2017. The project aims to reduce adverse maternal and neonatal outcomes by studying the lessons that can be learnt from the parents' perspective. These include both physical and psychological outcomes that require subsequent treatment by the NHS.

We are collecting accounts of the events leading up to adverse outcomes. These are a very important part of the project and if you have experienced an adverse outcome, we would very much appreciate it if you could write up your account of events. . Please anonymise both your own and your baby's  name, the hospital, any health care professional names, and the day and month of birth. If you would be happy to be photographed alongside your account for the website or be willing to talk to the press,  please indicate that in your email. These stories can be a very powerful driver for change so if you are able to help, that would be much appreciated. Further guidance can be found here.

The projectand is a joint professional / service user collaboration.

Please do join our closed Facebook Group if you have had an adverse outcome and would be interested in suggesting improvements or discussing safety.
